MOMMY-MORPHOSIS

MOMMY-MORPHOSIS Join me on my journey from sexy girl in the city into totally uncharted territory - Motherhood. A collection of thoughtful and amusing essays written by a new mom. It's a fantastic ride full of new discoveries about myself and the world around me. Maybe sharing my story will help you turn into the "Haute MaMa" you want to be and hold on to a bit of fantastic, free-spirited, it-girl fun!

About Me

My photo
ShoMommy
I'm a woman loving and learning my way through life! Happy wife to a hot hubby and mother to an insanely cute, undeniably intelligent 7 year son and 3 year old daughter. Over the last 15 years I've lived between Atlanta and my hometown Chicago. After working in the media industry (and slinging drinks in the hottest of hot-spots) I changed careers. Still putting my love for communication and human connections first; I left the flashing lights of the entertainment biz behind for grad school. I've completed School and Community Mental Health Counseling Masters Programs. Now I spend my days working with schools and non-profits to help kids have a healthy childhood. As an educator I'm committed to helping kids succeed academically, personally and socially. For them to grow and develop positively, so must parents. That's my family's story and how the MommyMorphosis blog concept was born. Always the optimist, I hope to encourage people to see the greatness within themselves and become the individuals they were created to be. Challenge are opportunities to remember what we're made of. That's the focus of my life's work, and perhaps what will aid in my own journey to self-actualization.
