As a woman who did not know her natural father my father figures (your dad and Papa) were so special to me. I can tell you so many stories of how they impacted me. I agree with Racquel's dad's comments. I do so adore, though, witnessing the special bond shared between dads and daughters. My husband has two older daughter's in addition to our new little girl and even though they are way grown I can still see that they will always be his "girls" in his eyes. I see it in his decisions and how he interacts with them. He even has a different connection to my daughter Megan than she and I have. I'm looking forward (with some anxiety) to experiencing his relationship with Wendelaya. I am hoping for balance and not just totally indulgence.Lady MGAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05975839116249013148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4300617631363256327.post-40565060642020223322012-01-06T12:42:16.795-08:002012-01-06T12:42:16.795-08:00Great post, Deanna. I thought that I'd share something my dad said a while back (paraphrased):<br />"I've always hated that term 'baby daddy' and the phrase 'any man can make a baby, but it takes a real man to be a father.' To me, 'father' is a formal term; it's distant. 'Daddy' is what your little girl calls you when she trusts you, loves you - it's a term of affection. I'd rather be a 'daddy' than a 'father' anyday."Racquelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00087371979938862408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4300617631363256327.post-28950175308131214422012-01-06T12:41:06.614-08:002012-01-06T12:41:06.614-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Racquelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00087371979938862408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4300617631363256327.post-31290468580151735402012-01-06T12:21:36.020-08:002012-01-06T12:21:36.020-08:00Thanks for the comment Spiritual Ninja (great name...Thanks for the comment Spiritual Ninja (great name btw!)
